Vincent J. "Papa" Dufrene, 73, a native of Bayou Gauche and resident of Larose passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Visitation will be held at Christian Fellowship in Larose on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 9:00 until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Matherne Dufrene; son, Pernell Dufrene, Sr.; brother, Wilfred Dufrene; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, Sr. and Cecile Dufrene; son, Vincent Dufrene, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Dufrene; sisters, Azilda D. Comaredelle, Lucille D. Matherne, Grace D. Folse, Kathy D. Robinson; great grandchild, Bladen Hernandez.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
