Shirley Foret Dufrene, 77, a native and resident of Raceland passed away on Tuesday November 20, 2012.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 10:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Audie Dufrene, Kyle Dufrene, Harold Dufrene; daughters, Leonelle Sloan, Lana Dufrene, Billie Jo Toups; brothers, Leroy Foret, Errol Foret, Hypolite Foret, Eugene Foret; sister, Beverly Schaubhut; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dufrene; parents, Simon and Leonelle Foret; daughter, Charmine Dufrene; brothers, Alvin Foret, Almus Foret, Norris Foret, Raymond Foret, Jerry Foret; sister, Anna Mae Champagne.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
