Selena Bruce

Selena Marie Bruce 55, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on September 3, 2026. 

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Christian Fellowship Church in Larose with viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. and services starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. 

Selena is survived her mother, Laura Bruce, brothers Terry (Dynorah), Kerry, Paul, and Jimmie and sister Holly Bruce Duet (Sid); Goddaughter Bethany Dardar Allen, Goddaughters/nieces Bethany Bruce, and Faith Bruce Jones (Caydence), niece Tricha Bruce Gross (Marshall), nephews Father Rusty Bruce, Styles Bruce (Amy), great nephews Jordan, Noah, Oliver, Tristan, and Cooper, and great niece Kaylie. 

She was preceded in death by her father Claude A. Bruce and sister-in-law Marsha H. Bruce. 

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loving caregiver to many family members. While she never had any children of her own, she lovingly embraced the role of aunt and Godmother to her nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She was always there when someone needed her. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Selena enjoyed listening to scriptures and praise and worship music. She was always willing to sharing her faith and values with others, offering guidance, encouragement, and support. She was an example of what it means to live sacrificially for others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
