Santo A. Lusco, Jr., 84 a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 with his loving family near his side.
Visitation will be on August 23, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at St. Hilary of Poitiers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery.
Santo is survived by his wife of 28 years Carmella Babin Lusco, son; Santo “Speedy” Lusco, III (Bridget), daughter; Kimberly “Kim” Lusco Campo, step-children; Terry Ledet, Jr. (Nicole), Toby Ledet (Melanie), Christy Ledet Welker (Seth), brother; Ronald Lusco (Cathy), sister-in-law; Camilla Lusco, sister; Jane Lusco Lowe, brother-in-law; Steven “Steve” Johnson, Eugene Babin, Gerald Babin, and O.J. Daigle, sisters-in-law; Margerite B. Orgeron, Doris B. Breaux, and Marion B. Labat, 3 grandchildren Lauren L. Bergeron ( Gerard), Tyler Lusco (Jamie), and Patrick Campo, 4 step-grandchildren; Derek Ledet, Simone Ledet, Zelda Welker and Zeppelin Welker, 2 great-grandchildren; Lawrence Bergeron and Lane Bergeron, , and 1 step-great-grandchild; Kai Ledet.
Santo was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 35 years; Patricia MacDonald Lusco, parents; Santo, Sr. and Louise Willoz Lusco, brother; Salvador “Sonny” Lusco, brothers-in-law; Donald Lowe, E.J. Orgeron, Calvin Breaux, Ricardo “Ricky” Labat, and Gary P. Babin, sisters-in-law; Pamela MacDonald Johnson, Bonnie Daigle, Eloise F. Babin, Geraldine M. Babin and Mona Fox.
Santo worked for RTA for 30+ years and was retired from RTA for almost 30 years. His family was his life along with being a cattleman.
