Russell Joseph Naquin, Sr.

Russell Joseph Naquin, Sr, 81, native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose, has passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

Russell is survived by his children, Russell (Kay) Naquin, Jr., Hillary (Mabeline) Naquin, Wayne Naquin, Sr., and Alice Humbarger; his step-daughter, Joanette (Duane) Jolin; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Harry Naquin and Jesty Naquin.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis “Phil” Naquin; his son, William Naquin; his granddaughter, Katrina N. Chiquito; his parents, Nelson and Scholastique Naquin; and his siblings, Felicie Williams, Semonia LaFleur, Frank Naquin, Rose Marie Gaspard, and Wilbert Naquin.

Russell loved fishing, woodworking, going to his church and spending time with his family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation that will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow, from 9:00 AM until the service time. A celebration of his life will begin at 11:00 AM.
