Rodney Rousse

Rodney “Popsie” Rousse, 80, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on May, 4th, 2026.

Mr. Rodney is survived by son: Ryan Rousse; grandchildren: Alexa Cheramie (Jansen) and Andie Rousse; great grandchildren: Lane, Lennon, Ledger, and Ladd Cheramie; brothers: Mike Rousse, Ozema Rousse; sister in law: Cindy Lefort (Steve); niece: Brianne Lefort; godchild: Janell Rousse and caregiver: Shasta Terrebonne.

Mr. Rousse was preceded in death by his loving wife: Joyce Callais Rousse; parents: Web and Aza B. Rousse; and siblings: Chester Rousse, Janita R. Guidry, Stanley Rousse, Ejay Rousse, Leroy Rousse, Lorena R. Ledet, and Octavia R. Lasseigne.

Rodney enjoyed spending time with his family and even though they will miss him greatly; they are at peace knowing he is reunited with Mrs. Joyce.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Rodney’s Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with procession following to his burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
