Richard "Poppee" Ludeman, 69, a native of Chicago, Illinois and a resident of Larose, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Religious Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Samart-Mothe Funeral Home Chapel, Cut Off. Burial will follow in the Cheramie Cemetery, Galliano.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgianna Ludeman; son, Vince Kiger and wife Jessica; daughter, Brandy Guidry and husband Lionel, Sr.; sisters, Denise, Robin, Beth, Bernice, and Diane; grandchildren, Lionel, Jr., Brianna, Madison, Megan, and Kolton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marian Ludeman; and sister, Mary Ann.
He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran.
Mr. Richard loved his grandkids, cooking, and carpentry.
