Mildred Loupe Santiny

Mildred Loupe Santiny, 94, passed away in Hammond, La on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 surrounded by her family in prayer. Mildred was born in Paradis, La. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved on anyone and everyone and loved her hugs and kisses on the lips, any more than one was lagniappe. She loved to make everyone laugh and make sure that they were happy. She loved to cook and everything she made was so good because she always made it with love. Mildred is survived by her sister Genevieve Theriot; her children, Linda C. Autin (VJ), Leona C. Hager (Wayne), Dean Chaisson (MaryJo), Henry Chaisson (Christy), Erlis(E.J.)Chaisson (Dee); 12 grandchildren, Larraine, Steve, Ricky, Dennis, Sandi, Justin, Jeremy, Lauren, Candace, DeAnn, Megan and Molly; 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sidney Santiny; her mother, Leola Detillier Theriot; her father, Ernest Loupe; her son Clarence (C.J.) Chaisson; her grandson, Joseph Davison Chaisson; her brothers Alfred Loupe and Ernest Loupe. Pallbearers will be Dean Chaisson, Henry Chaisson, Justin Chaisson, Steve Leblanc, Dennis Hager and Bill Aucoin. Visitation will be on Thursday November 9th at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church from 10:30am until mass at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Cemetery. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
