Melva Brunet Mayet

Melva Brunet Mayet, 83, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2025.

Mrs. Melva is survived by her daughters; Karla M. Breaux, Annette M. Kimball (Carey), Melanie M. Lagarde (Thomas), and Dodie M. LeBlanc (Louis III); 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Pandora Brunet Dubois and Nancy Brunet.

Mrs. Mayet was preceded in death by her loving husband: Narcisse “Jr.” J. Mayet Jr.; parents: Antoine and Uthive Lefort Brunet; sons in law: Terrence Callais, Jr. and Howard Breaux.

Mrs. Melva was an award-winning cook and enjoyed writing, sewing, and was a member of Ladies Altar Society, Krewe of Versailles and a school bus driver for many years. She especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off from 11:00 am until service time. A Celebration of Her Life will begin at 12 noon with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
