Louise Foret Landeche, 89, a native of Raceland, Louisiana, and resident of Des
Allemands, passed away March 6, 2024 in Des Allemands, La. after a short illness.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
A long-time parishioner at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands, Louise was a
Cub Scout den mother, a former auxiliary member of the American Legion and Lion’s
Club, and a volunteer at the St. Gertrude Catfish Festival. From the 1960s through the
1990s, she was co-owner of LouJoCo Construction Company of Des Allemands.
She is survived by her sons, Dean Landeche (Glenda) and Ray Landeche (Sharon);
daughter, Maria Landeche; grandchildren, Nicole Landeche, Michelle Landeche
Clevenger, Michael Landeche, Monica Landeche Stewart, Beth Landeche, Phillip (PJ)
Landeche Jr and Eli Landeche; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Joseph Landeche, her son, Philip
Eugene Landeche; parents, Nurcie and Una Foret; brother, Antoine (Tony) Foret; and sister, Joyce Foret Uzee.
A memorial will be held for friends and relatives at 10:00am on March 22, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, La. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at church at 11:00a.m. Interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.
