Joel M. Orgeron Sr.

February 18, 1965 — September 21, 2024

Joel M. Orgeron, Sr., 59, joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Joel had a great sense of humor and an unassuming demeanor. He was a big man with a really big heart who stood up for what he believed in. He went above and beyond on a consistent basis for everyone. He loved sports, cooking, and hunting. Above all else, he loved being Kerry’s husband of 39 years, a father, and a Pops. He was very passionate about his faith in Christ. Jesus was his Lord and Savior. He will be missed beyond belief. Heaven gained an angel. We love you Joel, Dad, Pops.

Joel is survived by his wife, Kerry Lee Orgeron; children, Ashley Orgeron, Mallorie Murphy (Ashley), Joel Orgeron Jr. (Kourtney), Allie Vega (Jacob); grandchildren, Jax Orgeron, Carter Vega, Scottie Vega; siblings, Johnny Orgeron Jr., Joy Orgeron Soudelier, Jill Orgeron Lerille; mother-in-law, Patricia Bell Lee.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Orgeron Sr.; mother, Rose Esponge Orgeron and father-in-law, Alton “Blackie” Lee.
