Jeanette M. Dufrene

Jeanette M. Dufrene, 79, a resident of Galliano, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Cut Off, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 9 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 62 years, Calvin P. Dufrene, Jr.; son, Chad Dufrene (Ginny); daughters, Tammy Eymard (Aubrey) and Sonja Dufrene; grandchildren, Erin Eymard, Andy Eymard and Beth E. Vedros; great-grandchildren, Emmy Eymard, Bria Eymard, Ella Eymard, Aubrey Carver and Wyatt Vedros; brothers, Edward Bourgeois and Paul Bourgeois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson and Lorvenia Lee Melancon; sister, Sylvia Melancon; brother, Edless Melancon.

She was an avid bowler. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Women’s Bereavement Committee.
