James Peter Galjour

James Peter Galjour, 65, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026. Born on June 9, 1961, he was raised in Cut Off, Louisiana, alongside his sister, Anne, by their parents, Mable and Carol Galjour. He owned and operated Galjour A/C & Electrical.

Though many knew James for his athletic talent, those closest to him recognized his gifts that reached far beyond the playing field. Beneath his humble nature lived a quiet wisdom, remarkable patience, and a deep love for Jesus Christ.

James was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Caitlyn Galjour Weinhold; her husband, Nicholas Weinhold; his beloved grandson, Ethan Weinhold; his sister, Anne Galjour; her husband, John Mayne, his nephew, Ian Mayne and his wife Rachel, his grandnephew Henry, and his god child Jacob Turnage.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to James's friends, whose steadfast support and kindness were a true blessing throughout his life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
