Iona C. Lefort, 89, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Iona is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Ellis J. Lefort; children, Susie (Carl) Plaisance and Steve (Cindy) Lefort; grandchild, Brianne Lefort.
Mrs. Iona was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ella Plaisance Collins; brother, Floyd Collins; sister, Ilene Collins.
Mrs. Iona was a member of the American Legion Post 259 Ladies Auxiliary and Knights of Columbus Council 9000 Ladies Auxiliary.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
