Hazel Marie Tauzin

Hazel Martin Tauzin, 94, a native of Golden Meadow, La. a resident of Lockport, La. passed away on April 7th, 2026.

Visitation will be on April 13, 2026 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La. from 10:00am until service time. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon with burial at Cheramie Cemetery.

Hazel is survived by her daughter; Balinda Michel (Roy), grandson; Frank David Griffin (Christie), great-grandchildren; Drake and Kennedy Griffin, 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 4 step great great grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Augusta Doucet Martin, granddaughter; Sandi Griffin, brother; Tiges Martin (Lois), sisters; Nolda Griffin (James), Albana Danos (Claude), and Gustavia Adams (Ignace “Pete, Jr.).

Hazel was a Parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a Member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a hairdresser and the owner of “Hazel’s Dream” cake shop.

The family would like to thank the Broadway Elder Nursing Center, Hope Hospice, and Mary Loupe for the care and compassion during her illness.
