Grace Felarise

Grace Marie Pitre Felarise, 86, a native of Galliano, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026.

Grace is survived by her children Marty (Bonnie), Donna, Melanie (Rick), Allana, and Stephen Jr. Grandchildren Sadie, Tessy, Star (Israel), Tabitha, Kristi (PJ), Hannah (Ryan I), Rusty (Kristina), Charly (Tyler), Stephen III, and Deidra (Thanh). Great grandchildren Logan, Paisley, Libra, Andee (Drake), Amelia, Brooks, Brady, Brittan (Abbi), Cameron (Gracie), Tacona, Deegan, Legacie, Wylan, Trustin, Daunte, Miori, Skully, Christopher, Xander, Jessah, Ryan II, Aidan (Destyn), Jackson, Madeline Grace, and Brady. And great, great grandmother of Rowyn and Reese.

Grace was a stay at home mother for the majority of her adulthood. She was a fantastic cook and homemaker. Her talents included dancing, drawing, sewing, and crocheting. She took a job with the Lafourche Parish School Board working in Food Service at South Lafourche High School when her children were grown. She loved serving the staff and students there until she retired. She became a resident of the Broadway Elderly Living & Rehabilitation in July of 2025. She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus while resting with family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Felarise, Sr., her parents Eugene and Elsie (Gautreaux) Pitre, and a great grandson Bodhisotpha "Bodhi" Blade Dakutak.

A private graveside service will be held for her children and grandchildren.
