Geraldine Ledet Baugh

Geraldine Ledet Baugh, 85, native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Mrs. Geraldine is survived by her children, Thaddeus Trosclair Jr., Becky Williams, and Daniel Baugh III; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Jude, Molly, Mattie, Ronnie, Royan, and Danny; her great-grandchildren, Mallory, Joshua, Shepard, and Tristan; her siblings, Velma, Nola, Helen, Barbara, and Philip; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Baugh II; her son, Toby Trosclair; her grandson, Joshua; her parents, Essey and Anna Ledet; and her sister, Margie.

Geraldine Baugh, or Mama, was a great many things. She was a collector of antiques, a QVC queen, a painter, and an avid woodcarver. She was a force to be reckoned with during the Christmas holidays, winning first place for her porch Christmas scenes year after year. You wouldn’t want to run into her in a Bridge card competition either because she would win those too. She was always good for a couple of afternoon cups of coffee and maybe a lemon cookie. French lessons were free to all the grandchildren who wanted one — and, sha bon dieu, there were a lot of them.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Geraldine's Memorial Mass on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 am.
