Evelyn Gros Hernandez, 78 a native of Stevensville and resident of Mathews died on Thursday September 20, 2012.
Visitation will be held on Friday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Chapel in Mathews from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A mass will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond "Creeper" Hernandez, Sr., son Raymond Hernandez, Jr. and wife Brandy; daughters, Tina H. Dunn and husband Edwin "Buddy", Angela H. Louis and husband John; brothers, V.A. Gros, Junius Gros; sisters, Doris Bergeron, Gertrude Scully, Shirley Allemand, Anna Belle Miller, Linda Daigle, Patsy Blancaneaux, Lorraine Stott, Rita Autin; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded death by her parents, Oarlien and Bernice Chaisson Gros; brothers, Linberg Gros, Wilbert Gros, Sr., Daniel Gros, Lourie Gros; sister, Anna Mae Eymel.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
