Ethel B. Ougel

Ethel Breaux Ougel, 84, a native of Raceland and resident of Larose entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose on Monday, January 22nd, 2024 from 10:00 am until service time. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Ethel is survived by her loving husband of 66 years: Melvin Ougel; daughters: Kathy Ougel Cantrelle (Armo), Darlene Ougel Trosclair (Farrel), Charlene Ougel Lorraine (Terry), and Pamela Ougel Angelette (Aaron); 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; son-in-law: John Orgeron; and brother: Marvin Breaux (Marlene).

Mrs. Ougel was preceded in death by her son: Rickie “Rick” Ougel; parents: Felician Breaux and Verna Benoit Breaux; sister: Mildred Breaux Fonseca; and brother: Melvin Breaux.

She was a devoted wife and mother to many, besides her children, an accomplished seamstress, and devout Catholic. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
