Eldon J. Guidry, 90, a native and resident of Mathews, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Friday, January 13th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Terry (Connie H.) Guidry, and Daniel (Louise C.) Guidry; grandchildren, Derek (Jennifer F.) Guidry, Matthew Guidry, and Allison Guidry; great-grandchildren, Henry Guidry, and Harper Guidry.
Is was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice L. Guidry; parents, Bennie and Alida C. Guidry; great-granddaughter, Crystal Guidry; brothers, Alcide Guidry, Junius Guidry, and Alexan Guidry; sisters, Valarie Guidry, and Elda G. Tastet.
Eldon is a Korean War veteran serving in the Navy. He is a member of the VFW and American Legion. He is a past State Commander of the American Legion.
