Doris "Dotie" Theresa Dufrene

We are saddened by the passing of Doris “Dotie” Theresa Guidry Dufrene, she made a peaceful journey in the early morning hours on February 6, 2026. Doris was born in Marrero, LA, on September 8, 1929 and was a resident of Raceland, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2026 at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Cemetery.

Doris is survived by her son, Scott David Dufrene; grandchildren, Taylor and Tally Dufrene; great-grandchild, Kohen Guidroz; sister, Vella “Fee” G. Knight.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Clemile Joseph Dufrene; son, Steve Joseph Dufrene; parents, Hypolite and Laura Babin Guidry; siblings, Cecil “Boy” Guidry, Hypolite “Lick” Guidry, Jr., Isabel “Noon” G. Plaisance, Rena G. Allemand, and Betty “Becky” G. Breaux.

Doris enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending to her family. We are so thankful to have had you with us for 96 years. We love you and will miss you forever.
