Derrel Antione Falgout

Derrel Antoine Falgout, 90, a native and resident of Gheens, La. passed away on April 2, 2026 in the comfort of his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens, La. on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 9:00am until service time. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00am at church with burial at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.

Derrel is survived by his wife of 68 years; Marguerite Chiasson Falgout; children; Jessie Falgout (Lisa), Darren Falgout (Michelle) and Jennifer Falgout, grandchildren; Corey (Rebekah), Fame (Jason), Chevy (Natasha), Randi Lynn (Scott), Zeke (Angelic), Cherie (Russell), and Mia (Andre’), 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchild; brothers; Ferrel Falgout and Lenray Falgout.

Derrel was preceded in death by his sons; Rodney and Randy Falgout, daughter; Lisa Falgout, parents; Clarence and Alida Dufrene Falgout, brother; Orgie Falgout, infant sister; great-granddaughter; Emily Trahan.

Derrel retired from Avondale Shipyard, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid family man.
