Derrel Antoine Falgout, 90, a native and resident of Gheens, La. passed away on April 2, 2026 in the comfort of his home.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens, La. with burial at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery date and times are pending.
Derrel is survived by his wife of 68 years; Marguerite Chiasson Falgout; children; Jessie Falgout (Lisa), Darren Falgout (Michelle) and Jennifer Falgout, grandchildren; Corey (Rebekah), Fame (Jason), Chevy (Natasha), Randi Lynn (Scott), Zeke (Angelic), Cherie (Russell), and Mia (Andre’), 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchild; brothers; Ferrel Falgout and Lenray Falgout.
Derrel was preceded in death by his sons; Rodney and Randy Falgout, daughter; Lisa Falgout, parents; Clarence and Alida Dufrene Falgout, brother; Orgie Falgout, infant sister; great-granddaughter; Emily Trahan.
Derrel retired from Avondale Shipyard, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid family man.
