Deanna Meaux

Deanna Meaux, 81, native of Abbeville, Louisiana and resident of Lockport, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Visitation will be held at Cross Church in Houma, La on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 9:00AM until service time at 12:00PM. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 12:00PM with burial to follow at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport, La.

Deanna is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Kenneth Gaubert; sons, Richard Foret Jr. (Matilda), Troy Foret (Cecy), Gregory Foret (Peggy), Charlie Golley; daughters, Ruth Mendoza and Sherry Foret; stepchildren, Cherie and Lisa; sister, Betsy ‘JJ’ Meaux; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and Pastor Brandon and his wife Rachelle and her church family 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sevey and Lucille Meaux; sisters, Elaine, Beatrice, Wendy, and Suzy; and her brother, Sunny. 

Deanna was a remarkable woman whose life was a beautiful reflection of faith, creativity, and love. She carried her devotion to God into everything she did—into her service at church, where she gave her time, her voice, and her compassion. She had a gentle gift for bringing beauty into the world. She loved to paint. In her kitchen, she worked with the same care and love, cooking and baking not just to nourish others, but to make them feel welcomed, cherished, and at home. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
