Clinton J. Bellanger Jr.

Clinton “Poppie Jay” Bellanger, Jr. 84 a native and resident of Cut Off, La. passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 with his loving family near his side.
Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday August 13, 2024 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
“Poppie Jay” is survived by his children; Velvet Bellanger Guidry (Brent), Clint Bellanger (Karen Moore), grandchildren; Jennifer & Duroc Schexnaydre, Seth Guidry, Kadie & Nicky Joe Dufrene, Carlie & Ryan Bagala, Nickless Lasseigne, Jude & Marissa Lasseigne. Louise & Nicholas Galliano, great-grandchildren; Madison & Emmalyn Schexnaydre, Ryder & Sydnie Dufrene, Lanie & Lucie Lasseigne, Hunter Lasseigne, Molly & Noah Galliano, Lillie & Reed Bagala.
“Poppie Jay” was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Joann “Mommie Jo” Pierce Bellanger, parents; Clinton, Sr. and Louise Duet Bellanger, daughter; Molly Bellanger Adams and husband Russell Adams, In-laws; Paul Pierce and Effie Gisclair Pierce and an infant brother.
He was a devout Catholic who attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. “Poppie Jay” will be missed but never forgotten.
