Chester Lee Simmons, 77, a native of LaGrange, GA and resident of Gray, LA passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Visitation will be held at Bayou Blue Baptist Church on Friday, October 27th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Chester is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Jo W. Simmons; sons Jeffery A. Simmons, and Christopher “Chris” L. Simmons, daughter, Le Anne Simmons; 4 grandchildren, brother-in-law, Jeffery (Karen) Williams; sister-in-law, Quida Simmons; niece, Dezirea “Button” Williams; nephew, Austin (Brianna) Williams.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Pearl Barnes Simmons; brothers, Robert Simmons, Emory P. Simmons, Jr., and Louis Simmons; sisters, Mary Ellen Simmons, and Carolyn Parrot.
Chester was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served our country in the Vietnam War.
