Billy F. Suitt, 75, native of Gonzales, TX and longtime resident of Raceland, LA passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home, in Mathews, on Saturday, April 6th from 5 pm until 9 pm. Services will also be held at a later date in Texas.
Cowboy, Vietnam War veteran, diesel mechanic and chemist, Billy lived a long and interesting life. He enjoyed shooting and fishing and always with his grandsons. He consistently shared in their lives through a myriad of events including choral and instrumental music, theater, sports and awards ceremonies. Together with his wife he spent many a weekend getaway dining in the very best restaurants of New Orleans. Sunday’s meant family and a giant plate of sushi. And he never passed up a glass of good bourbon.
