Rudolph Joseph Robichaux, 96, a native and resident of Raceland, La. passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.
Visitation will be May 2, 2024 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with burial at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Cemetery.
Rudolph is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rose Mary Guidry Robichaux, children; Randall “Randy” Robichaux, (Leslie), and Rhonda R. Varnell (Dalbert, Jr.), grandchildren; Rachel Rogers (Jamie), Crystal Beyer (Travis), Daniel Varnell (Tina) and Summer Chiasson (Devin), great-grandchildren; Kinley Rogers, Emelina Beyer, Abigail Beyer, Isabella Beyer, Leo Beyer, Gemma Beyer, Luca Beyer, David Varnell, Jonathan Varnell, Christina Varnell, Wilson Chiasson and Ophelia Chiasson.
Rudolph was preceded in death by his daughter; Ramona Ann “Cookie” Robichaux, parents; Adolph and Clara Saucier Robichaux, brother; Lloyd Robichaux.
Rudolph was a son, brother, teacher, husband, dad, uncle, assistant principal, principal, grandpa, great-grand paw, and friend. He was a United States Navy Veteran, member of the VFW and American Legion, He was the founder of the Lake Field Improvement Club, avid fisher, hunter, and gardener. Memory lane was a favorite place to visit. 69 year Love story like no other, bird watcher, flag flyer. Rudolph cut and maintained his own yard until he was 95 years.
